I grew up in Clarksville, Maryland. I moved to Boston to attend Simmons College where I graduated in 2008 with my Bachelors in Public Health. I stayed at Simmons to earn my Masters in Social Work from the School of Social Work in 2012.
Before coming to Fathers’ Uplift, I worked at Arbour-HRI as an outpatient therapist where I worked with patients that were diagnosed with both a substance abuse disorder and a mental health issue. From there I went to Fresenius Medical Care where I worked as a renal social worker. Professionally, I am most proud of implementing a program called Social Work Intensive where I engaged clients in discussing issues relating to mental health and kidney disease. My professional role model is my former supervisor, Cheryl Grau. We worked together at Arbor Counseling Services in Brookline, Massachusetts.
If I could invite one person to dinner with my family it would be Chris Crocker who is a YouTube sensation.
When I am not at Fathers’ Uplift, you can find me reading at a coffee shop around town.
