Staff Narrative:

Vicente Sanabria was born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Borinquen (Puerto Rico) and later lived in Brooklyn and Massachusetts. He currently resides in Malden, Massachusetts. Vicente attended New Hampshire College, where he obtained a BS in Human Services, and Southern New Hampshire University, where he earned an MS in Community Economic Development. He proudly holds what he calls a “Ph.D. from the streets of Brooklyn.”

Vicente’s career accomplishments are many, but his greatest pride lies in his role as a father, raising three wonderful and accomplished children. He has dedicated his life to studying non-profit management, community organizing, social movements, and developing community-driven financial systems.

What sets Fathers’ UpLift apart for Vicente is its genuine commitment to diversity. Fathers’ UpLift is the first organization where he feels he can bring his whole self to work. As a man of color, he feels valued, appreciated, and loved, which is a unique and cherished experience in his career.

When he’s not at Fathers’ UpLift, Vicente enjoys spending time with his family and continuing his lifelong journey of learning and personal development.
