Our Mission

Fathers’ UpLift is committed to empowering fathers by providing comprehensive direct care, reentry support for those transitioning from incarceration, workforce development, and advocacy. Our mission is to assist dads in navigating and overcoming challenges—whether they stem from racism, emotional issues, trauma, or addiction—that can hinder their active involvement in their children’s lives. We also proudly stand in solidarity with mothers and women across the nation, advocating for their rights and autonomy. By doing so, we aim to create a supportive community that fosters healthier family dynamics and strengthens the bonds between fathers and their children.

Reasons We Exist

At our core, we believe in empowering fathers to overcome life’s challenges and actively engage in their children’s lives. Our comprehensive support services provide direct assistance to fathers in need, offer reentry support to help them reintegrate into family and community life, and foster collaboration between mothers and fathers to create a united front for the well-being of their children. Additionally, our workforce development programs equip fathers and graduate students with the skills and opportunities to secure stable employment and build brighter futures for their families. Together, we strive to break down barriers, promote meaningful involvement of fathers in their children’s lives, and enhance the human services pipeline.
